Jolene Raison spends a little time every day fishing for stars, and the rest of the time planning stories for children. She believes stories are dream-seeds, and we should plant worlds full of them for our children. She’s been a copywriter, freelance-journalist and general wordsmith for hire. Her current adventures include being the director of an industrial hardware store, studying towards her Master’s in Applied Linguistics, and learning Russian. She lives in Johannesburg with her two most-love hoomans, two pugs, an iguana and several giant snails. Her poetry is currently only viewable on Facebook at Jolene Raison Tastes_Blue. She has published two books: Dear Mupstix, Love Lost, and The Vitiligo Spot Spotter.
There’s a spot spotting monster, on a mission to spot the spots on Cinnamon’s skin. Or at least that’s how it seems to her, when she’s out and people keep staring at her vitiligo. Can this plucky little girl outrun the Spot Spotter, and escape all those eyes? Maybe what starts out as scary chase, could turn into a spot of fun.
